This year, we’re trying something new at Sample Oklahoma. Each month, we’re going to dedicate a blog to some of our favorite vendors. This month, we’re celebrating Rick’s Fine Chocolates & Coffees and the Crafty Candle Shoppe. Rick’s has been with us since nearly the beginning of our journey, while the Crafty Candle Shoppe is one of our newer vendors.
Rick’s Fine Chocolates & Coffees
Rick’s Fine Chocolates & Coffees was founded in Guthrie in 2006. In its almost 20-year history, the chocolatiers here have mastered over 250 recipes. They rotate their offerings throughout the year, having holiday specials for Valentine’s Day, Easter, and Christmas.
Outside of chocolates and coffee, Rick’s is also open for lunch. You can buy paninis, sandwiches, croissants, English muffins, and bagels. So, whether you are craving something sweet or salty, caffeinated or not, Rick’s will have something you are sure to love.
Some of our favorite items from Rick’s are their milk chocolate pecans and their assorted chocolate gift box. The bag of chocolate pecans speaks for itself with what it contains, but the assorted box is a little more special. This box comes in two options, a half-pound and one pound. As an added perk, the chocolates are just as nice to look at as they are to eat.
Crafty Candle Shoppe
The Crafty Candle Shoppe is one of the newest businesses in Bartlesville, starting up in 2021. The Taylors who own the shop are no strangers to business. Their previous business venture was a flower shop. However, with everything going topsy-turvy in 2020, they decided to branch out and try candle making. That turned out to be a great decision and the business has been going strong ever since.
Customers can shop online or stop in the in-person store. Some of their scents include clean cotton, cinnamon sugar donuts, and pineapple sage. The shop also offers candle-making classes for $25 a student. Our favorite Crafty Candle Shoppe item has to be their car fresheners. It’s not what you would expect from a candle shop, but it’s great nonetheless.
